This is a shot I took from the deck of our beach house at Topsail Island, NC in June 2008. You can hear the girls in the background. Just wanted to have that visual to take home with me to Ohio. Somehow the beaches in Ohio just lack that certain something. I forgot to bring my camera tripod so I made a make-shift prop out of an upside-down grill grate. Topsail is known for having a lot of sharks and shark attacks. A lot of sharks breed just off shore because of the water temperature, current, and shape of the coastal shelf. We didn't see any sharks this year, but there was a dead man-o-war washed up on shore almost every morning.
