The smoker works pretty well. If you soak your wood chips, you need to start the grill, get it hot, and let the chips sit in the smoker for a while before you will get lots of smoke. Once smoking, it works great. The only problem with the smoker is that after you are done grilling and want to empty the chips out, it is messy due to the holes at the bottom of the smoker where it contacts the grill flavorizer bars.

The smoker box works as described. The quality of material seems to be up to Weber's normal standards. The only caveat: follow the directions and add the wood chips when pre-heating the grill. That way you will get smoke when you put the meat on the grill.

I find the product to be quite good for my intended use. It supplies the amount of smoke needed for grilling and is a product that fits well in my Weber. However, I have not used the product too long as it was purchased recently. I am certain that the intended need for smoke will be sufficient in my grilling.

I own a Weber Model 3390001 and purchased this item to enhance my grilling. This item does not indicate which Weber models it fits. It certainly does not fit mine. The box is well constructed and appears like it would work well on Weber Grills that accommodate it. I give this item a 1 star rating not because of construction or price but because of lack of info.
Smoker for Weber Genesis Grill - M. Sheehan - TEXAS
I purchased this for my new Weber Genesis grill. It works well in that it gets hot and makes a lot of smoke. It does make a mess in that many of the ashes fall to the grease pan when removing the smoker box, but its not that difficult to clean.
So, if you want to turn your grill into a smoker, this is what you need.
