How to build a grid from a 55 gallon drum

Backyard BBQ's are a must for any summer event or get together. And if your anything like my family year-round pastime! I can not tell you how many barbecues we have experienced over the years. Finally we decided to try and build our own barbecue, the end of a great success! You are huge benefits to build your grill from a 55 gallon drum. One, the amount of money saved to your account. Two, you can customize to suit your personal needs. Three, the gloryto brag to all your friends that you're man enough to do their own barbecue have been!

It took a little 'to do exactly as we wanted to come, but now we have 3 grills! Each proudly displays our favorite NFL, NCAA, NBA teams and logos! Needless to say we have a barbecue for every occasion! Over the years, we have several family members asked us for a birthday present! Remember, safety first! Make sure a pair of gloves and safety glasses at your fingertips! They are to do with sharp edges and I have a scar to prove it!

You must go to


Metal legs and use if you want to get a bit 'crazy on a shelf
Hinges for the lid to the grill handle
metal bars and mesh grill for the area
Grinder to get rid of all those edges Ruff
ASega straight, make sure you have the right to cut the metal
Welding equipment and other supplies
Marker
Last but not least, a 55-gallon drum. And be sure to be a clean environment, as they are used for cooking. You can find some recycled ones, but make sure they are not used to keep toxic substances!

Directions

1. Take your brand and the size of a quarter of the rotating drum. This will be the cover of the grid.

2. Use your saw,Section of the frame of the neighborhood for cutting the lid. Depending on how rough edges, you can step down when necessary.

3. Bring your rods to the hob. Solder the two beams at each end and those supporting the center. This is a further step, but allows you to move the class much easier! All the solder joints is better to take time now for the rough edge then pay later!

4. Put on your hinges and handles. You can only get more painful key on your hardware,or if you want all the hinges Special order can go online!

5. Next Base Fix! You want to weld the legs and ensure that they are stable enough to support the grid. The anchor at the bottom with another piece of network or horizontal bars to help stabilize from side to side.

This is a little bonus on top of what we did. We found our favorite online team logo and made a template and put it on our 55-gallon drum and painted! It looks cool! If you want tolooking for something I would recommend to all your painting done before connecting the handles! Trust me, it looks good and all my friends are jealous men! If you are a bit 'crazy, you can also create custom frames that add a great touch!
